The Creative Inspiration
Each piece in this collection is unique unto itself, but together they create a journey of self discovery. Inspired by the titles of paint swatches, Kenjillen finds herself trying new mediums and subjects. This collection started simple by taking a paint swatch and thinking of a design that would match the “theme” of the paint swatch from both the color and the title of the swatch. She picked up her alcohol markers, prepped her “canvas”, and began to draw. Thus, the piece known as “Lover of Sweet Drinks” was created.
Kenjillen strives to build this collection over the next few years into 365 separate pieces that, when finished, will become one instillation that shows her exploration through art.
