The artist explores creativity by finding inspiration in the titles of paint swatches, which allows her to create a unique artwork with each new piece.
This was the very first Paint Swatch Piece created by Kenjillen N. The artist needed a way to find inspiration to create artwork quickly and in a more expansive way. She wanted to explore her artistic style, and break through the artist-block. One day she saw a video of another artist (who she desperately wishes she could remember the name of) drawing on a paint chip. That creative solution was all that Kenjillen needed to get started. She ran to the nearest hardware store and began picking out paint swatches that filled her with inspiration. Once back home with her pile of paint swatches, she closed her eyes and picked one at random. It was a bright happy color, with a cute title, and it brought to mind her favorite kind of alcoholic drink. She grabbed her alcohol markers (chosen because this drink would be an alcoholic drink) and began drawing. Thus, the first Paint Swatch Piece, Lover of Sweet Drinks, was created.
