The artist’s inspiration started with the title of the paint swatch, Park Bench, but quickly expanded into something more. Questions began to pop up in her mind; What happens in a park? What kind of characters sit on a bench in the park? Could that character be a dog? And what might that dog be doing that makes it sit by the park bench instead of running through the park? “Oh, the dog is watching a butterfly that just landed on its nose!”
